Case Study: Anime Clothing Brand

The company is an anime clothing brand out of Canada that has NSFW designs. I was brought in to help the brand target paid social media ads, and influencer targeting to increase brand awareness and sales.

Case study for anime clothing brand digital marketing

The Problem

The brand had growth stalled out around 50k Instagram followers, and engagement started to decline. The founder felt as if they didn’t know what to do next to continue growing their online clothing brand business. I worked closely with his team to get a better understanding of where they were at in order to improve their social growth and awareness.

The solution

After identifying their weak points. This consisted of lack of influencer reach out. Lack of targeting the consumers, and their neglecting of video content. It was time to devise a plan of attack for the non-existent paid social media strategy.

With my background in video editing and Tiktok styled content I mocked up a video template of what I thought would work. As well as providing some video from other brands/ creators that were doing well on social. Then their media team started producing content we could now start A/B testing.

We then worked on their semi organic growth which included influencer reach out. I say semi organic because it organically reaches the brands audience, but sometimes we pay the influencers in free product. This is generally a very good plan and use of resources as long as the influencer produces some kind of content that helps the brand out.

The Results

At the end of my 3 month run with the Anime Clothing brand. We had increased their following by 40k! They relayed to me that their sales have improved and growth has been continuing in my absence. 

We had achieved getting their brands growth out of a stagnant social media growth pattern. I left their team with helpful tidbits of experience to keep their growth moving forward. Achieving the goals I was hired to improve for the Anime Clothing brand.
